Melbourne SEO Services has been getting Melbourne businesses found since 2008 — through every Google update, and now into the AI era.
In 2008, most Melbourne businesses were still deciding between the Yellow Pages and this "Google thing". We bet on search — hard — and put our money where our mouth was: rank page 1 for "Melbourne SEO", the most competitive SEO term in the city, or don't deserve anyone's business. That ranking has held for over fifteen years, through Panda, Penguin, Hummingbird, the Core Updates, and now AI Overviews. This site is still the case study.

Look closely at our logo and you'll see a small gear. It was there from the start — because from the start, the belief was that marketing should run as a system, not a scramble. That belief grew into its own company: our founder David Jenyns went on to write Authority Content (2016) and then SYSTEMology, now used by businesses worldwide to systemise their operations. SYSTEMology is our sister company — and the reason step three of our method is a documented handover, not a forever-retainer.
Running an agency teaches you one thing over and over: the founder is always the bottleneck. It didn't matter how good the campaigns were — if the business couldn't run without David in the room, it wasn't really a business. Solving that problem properly became its own obsession. When Michael E. Gerber — the E-Myth author who taught the world to "work ON your business, not IN it" — needed someone to lead his book launch, he picked David. That thread became SYSTEMology, and it's why our engagements are designed to end: we document what we do into your business so your team can run it. The exit ramp isn't a gimmick; it's the whole philosophy.
David Jenyns founded Melbourne SEO Services in 2008 and built it into one of Australia's most recognised SEO agencies — featured at TEDx and General Assembly, with client work spanning AGL, Alibaba, Jim's Group, Kidspot and The Block's Alisa & Lysandra. He's the author of Authority Content and SYSTEMology, and these days splits his time between the two companies. More at davidjenyns.com.

Search has changed more in the last three years than in the previous fifteen. Buyers ask ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini before they ask Google — and being recommended by AI is the new page 1. We've rebuilt everything we do (this site included) around that reality. See the evidence at SEO Evolved — or find out where your site stands with the free AI Visibility Audit.
The free audit shows what Google, ChatGPT and Perplexity see when they look at your business.
